“Israel is reporting that they’ve vaccinated half of their population, and I’m going to guess it’s the Jewish half,” Michael Che, the co-host of SNL’s news parody, “Weekend Update,” said. Last May, during a segment about Go Daddy shutting down a "Miss Hitler Beauty Pageant," the comedian ended the comedy bit with a comment that the winner of the controversial pageant was "Miss Israel." Should Che be cancelled because of his anti-semitic jokes? No. I don't like these jokes that convey stereotypical views about the Jews and prejudices against the State of Israel. But that what freedom of expression means. Listen to things that you don't like. Should Che be fired? No. Should Che apologize? It's up to him. Should NBC or SNL producers say something about this? It will be good, but necessary. Anti-semitism is back everywhere under the cover of anti-Israeli rhetoric. It looks "better" to attack the Jewish State that the Jews.
